Hello, my name is Rachel and I started a baking business during the height of the pandemic in the basement of my home called L&K Bundt Shop (named after my two daughters). It was a fully licensed commercial kitchen where I specialized in mini bundt cakes but grew into much more. I initially took this leap to spend more time with my small children and have the flexibility to make my own schedule. Well almost 5 years later but kids are growing up and it was time to expand the bakery!

 

After moving to western PA in early 2018, I fell in love with the Moon area and all the great business that have made it home. I knew when it was time to start looking for a store front opportunity this was where I also wanted to call home. With this big change I also felt it needed a change in names; the new bakery would be called L&K Bakehouse.  Still keeping the girls initials but an homage to my start in my house to now converting an old house into a bakery. I am excited to get to share my baking passion with others by hiring people that love to bake and also want to learn to bake. Once we are open I can't wait to meet everyone in the community; in the meantime make sure you check out my other website (link below) as my basement bakery is still up and running and still accepting pre-orders daily!
